Unit 4 discusses some very popular United States vacation spots. What states comprise the east coast and north Atlantic?

New England: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Massachusetts is the most popular New England state for travel destination.

Winters are cold and snowy; early spring can be dreary, summer temperatures are generally around 70 or 80 degrees, though very hot, humid. There are certain vacation spots in New England that are popular within the region. What city might be popular?

Boston, MA is probably the most visited city in New England due to its history. What might be some historic sites for vacationers?

Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine are filled with country towns and shops that draw the antique shopper and those wanting original maple syrup. There are lakes and ski areas, and coastal waters (Maine) Connecticut and Rhode Island to the south have their own resorts and night spots. Rhode Island is popular for sailing too.
