4. Footnotes
To indicate a source, place a small number after the sentence.
At the bottom of the page, each citation is listed next to the appropriate number.

5. Footnotes To insert in word: Go to the “Reference” Tab
Select “Insert Footnotes”
A footnote will be inserted where ever the cursor is located
Type in your footnote at the bottom

6. Work Cited The Work Cited begins on its own page
Title the page: “Work Cited”
(Centered on top line)
Double Space all citations
Do not skip spaces between entries
Indent the second, third, etc. lines of each entry
(Use the “Tab” button)
List sources Alphabetically

7. MLA Citation Books with one author:
Last name, First name. Title of Book. City of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication. Medium of Publication.
Example:

List authors in alphabetical order
Last name, First name and First name Last Name. Title of Book. City of Publication: Publisher, Year of Publication. Medium of Publication.

Gillespie, Paula, and Neal Lerner. The Allyn and Bacon Guide to Peer Tutoring. Boston: Allyn, Print.

10. MLA Citation Books with two or more authors:
List authors in alphabetical order
