Introducing the Mentor-Protégé Intern Program (MINT) MINT Internship Objectives: Acquire and Demonstrate Skills … MINT participants have the job-ready skills, business acumen and experiences to be immediately productive and successful MINT Participants have acquired “in demand skills” required for participation in the DoD/IC Next Generation Workforce Personal mentorship for professional growth Training plan based on individual need and workplace requirement Security clearances Real life Work place experience through internships Efficient and effective teamwork Prepare program participants to meet the requirements for specific tasks in the IC (NGA) and industry Introductions/Individual Tasks Pilot Projects Conclusion

Innovation Research Project 10 page research paper assignment that all MINTs will be working on-assigned research project on a real problem the NGA has Start date March 2015, due date May 2015 Topic to be researched: Evaluating effectiveness of Business Process Management Tools in the Federal Government Questions: 1.Discuss the use of Business Process Management Tools in the Federal Government. 2.How can organizations in the Federal Government use these tools to improve business process. 3.Discuss the technical (security issues) and cultural hurdles(people more comfortable with using old processes) to implementing these tools. 4.Discuss digital vs. manual processes.
