A LITTLE ABOUT ME  Have taught secondary Math for 27 years, both in SA and NZ  In Middle – and Senior - management for about 15 years in total in both countries  Have taught for 8 years in NZ, in Hawkes Bay and in Auckland  Have taught BOYS for 20 years, so forgive the goriness of some of my examples!!!!!  Currently HOF Math at Otahuhu College, which is a Decile 1 co-ed school in the heart of South Auckland  Challenges facing our Math faculty at the start of 2014 :  2013 Level 1 Numeracy had a 97% FAILURE rate!!!!!  2013 Level 3 Calculus had virtually no-one pass Externals!!!!!!
