3. 1.Man was made with the life of God in him. – Gen. 2:7 2.Man disobeyed God and therefore sin introduced man to death – Rom. 5:17 3.God made it possible for man to be “born again”. – John 3:3 4.The new birth introduces man to eternal life. – John 3:16

6. THE PROBLEM! Believers with the life of God within them were living life like the people without God.

7. 5 GUIDELINES TO A LIFE OF WISDOM THAT PLEASES GOD! “BUT IF ANY OF YOU LACKS WISDOM, LET HIM ASK OF GOD, LET HIM ASK OF GOD WHO GIVES TO ALL MEN GENEROUSLY AND WITHOUT REPROACH.” James 1:4

10. “YOU ARE JUST A VAPOR THAT APPEARS FOR A LITTLE WHILE AND THEN VANISHES AWAY.” James 4:14b LIFE IS BRIEF! SO WE MUST MAKE THE MOST OF IT!

11. II. BE RESPONSIBLE! A WISE PERSON WILL LIVE LIFE WITH PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY & WISE PLANNING! “Come now, you so say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.’” (James 4:13)

15. IV. LIVE WITH HUMILITY A WISE PERSON WILL LIVE LIFE WITH HUMILITY AND NOT WITH ARROGANCE, TRUSTING IN GOD INSTEAD OF TRUSTING IN SELF! “But as it is you boast in your arrogance (self) and all such boasting is evil.” James 4:16 “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6

18. QUESTION: HOW DOES ONE KNOW WHAT TO DO IN LIFE? “THY WORD IS A LAMP UNTO MY FEET AND A LIGHT UNTO MY PATH.” Ps. 119:105 “THEY WORD HAVE I HID IN MY HEART THAT I MIGHT NOT SIN AGAINST THEE.” Ps. 119:11
