3. WHAT IS A TEAM?  Students from all incoming elementary schools will be mixed together to form at least two teams.  All teams will be balanced.  Academics  Gender  Music The entire sixth grade will be divided into balanced groups of students.

4. WHAT IS A TEAM?  There will be a common group of teachers assigned to each team. This consists of 4 teachers. These teachers will have time to collaborate and plan together as a team.  There is a Team Leader assigned to coordinate each team.  The Team Leader helps to facilitate the needs of the student as well as the concerns of the parents.

A TYPICAL DAY AT SELLS  4 Academic Periods  Math 50 minutes  Science 50 minutes  Social Studies 50 minutes  Language Arts Block 100 minutes  Lunch (30 minutes)  Exploratory Block #1- Music/Study Center  Exploratory Block #2 (Trimester classes) Physical Education (Required) Academic Reading 6 (Required) Art 6 (Required) There are 8 periods in the day.

18.  Sells will be open from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday August 20 th for the parent/student walk through.  We will have two welcome meetings if you wish to attend. The first meeting will be at 1:00 p.m. The second meeting will be at 7:00 p.m.  Both meetings will be the same presentation.  The purpose of this meeting is to welcome you to Sells and give you any last minute information and reminders about the first day of school.
