BIPA is dedicated to providing its members with a forum in and through which they can exchange industry information, network with other members of the ICT sector, undertake advocacy activities on behalf of industry interests, and collaborate with each other to extend the scale and scope of services accessible through the Barbadian and Caribbean ICT sectors. Today, with nearly 20 years of existence, represents more than a hundred leading companies in the sector of Information Technology, Communications and Electronics (ICTE) Covering a large and representative portion of the ICTE sector companies, is today recognized as a national association of reference in this area, with significant activity also in the associative universe - Member and Vice- President of the CIP with representation in Economic and Social Council, a founding member Technological Pole of Competitiveness and TICE.pt, with a seat on the Governing Board and several agreements and protocols counterparts in other countries and regions. 25  The WTM is intended for those business executives interested in business opportunities within India and the Asia Pacific economies. The trade mission will include summit sessions, networking receptions and business-to-business meetings.  Participation fee is at Rs.30,000 (approx. USD550), a 12% discount from Rs. 34,000 (approx. USD615) for WITSA members.  Accommodations have been arranged for WITSA members at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai and the Lalit Hotel Mumbai. 35  WITSA HAS NO LONG TERM DEBT  P&L 2012: Net Loss of $(224,698). Exceeded budgeted amount of ($79,452) by $(145,247). Includes 400 K Bad Debt.  2012 revenue was $761,630 and exceeded the budgeted amount of $450,400 by $311,230. This was because we invoiced the remaining WCIT 2012 fee during the current year (2012). 36 Budgeted Expenses:  Expenses were under budget in the following areas: Operations, contract services and bank charges. Expenses were over budget in: Travel and staff bonuses (not budgeted 2012).  Open issue: The 2012 financial picture is very different from anticipated results due to the issues surrounding the WCIT 2012. WITSA did not receive the revenue it was entitled to and incurred additional costs for the gala event.
