Schedule Change & Attendance Policy Schedule changes will only be considered during the first four days of the class and only there is an error in the schedule or program/placement issue. To receive credit in a class, a student must attend at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered. On the accelerated block schedule, a student exceeds this if he or she has more than 5 absences in a nine-week grading period.

Clubs and Activities Get involved on campus! Check out the list of activities on the “Activities” Tab At hhs9.lisd.net

Can a student take multiple activities all 4 years? Examples: Choir/Theatre/Band/Orchestra/Athletics, etc It would require an enormous about of work outside of the school day to get all required classes taken and in order to do both. Probably the biggest challenge would be taking their foreign language classes on-line. The amount of time spent doing both activities would be time consuming. There would also be the cost factor involved with both activities and the tuition fees for VLA. Our Recommendation: Give both a try during their 9th grade year and see if handling both endeavors makes sense or will one emerge as a stronger passion.
