3 INTRODUCTION Wellspring academy started in 2007 with a Vision “to produce a new generation of Servant Leaders to bless Rwanda and display the best of Rwanda to the World” And our Mission is “ to educate and equip students to become highly skilled, Godly leaders and agents of community transformation”

4 Introduction (continued) The journey to go international started when the school was still in plan. Staring 2014 the plan towards int’l exposure was put in action by implementing Cambridge International Examinations.

5 CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL CURRICULLUM

6 GRADE 8 & 10 FIRST EXAMS In order to prepare current grade 8 and grade 10 as pioneers who will sit for their International Exams in May-June 2016, the school schedule was compressed to prepare the students for their first int’l exams. Main reasons to compress the schedule: To benefit from international teachers from other international schools To facilitate g12 graduates to enroll in universities without waiting for many months i.e waiting from November to September of the following year.

8 COMBINATIONS to be offered at WSA For Cambridge A’ level Syllabus, a student takes between 5-7 Combinations. The following are Science combinations that will be offered at WSA; Physics and Chemistry Chemistry and Biology Physics and Biology

9 For Humanities, the following Subject Combinations will be offered: History and Geography Geography and Economics History & Economics The following will be cross-cutting Subjects to all candidates  English as a First Language  French as a second Language

10  Mathematics  Computer Kinyarwanda will also be taught so that we keep our national identity. But it will be optional to international students. The CIE curriculum will be supplemented by Christian values. THANK YOU & GOD BLESS YOU
