5 Objectives  To organize, planning, implementation and monitoring of forestry and other related operations by systemic collection, storage and retrieval of MIS and Geo-spatial data through a computer based communication network.

6 Strategy  MPFD is executing its technology initiatives in an integrated manner where in all its key functions will be carried out through web based workflows.  This not only bring transparency, responsibility & accountability but also bring efficiency.

24 Potential for replication All the applications are being used in State of MP successfully. Transfer of technology has already been taken place in Gujrat and under process of transfer to other States like Kerala, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

25 Lessons Learnt  Business Process Re-engineering must be conducted.  All the technical activities must be documented and made easily accessible for further reference.  Standards for technical language like program coding, IDs coding, mapping symbology etc should be formulated and kept for use.  Developed in-house capacity of technical knowledge should be retained for future.  Continuous updation of technical knowledge for acquiring advanced modern technology.
