5. Grigory Severyanovich Rudsky (Valentin Grigoryevich’s father) was born in 1886 in the village in Holmsk province, Belsky district (Poland). He was Ukrainian by nationality. He studied at the Warsaw University. During the World War I he was the officer in the imperial army. On arriving to Siberia the Rudskys lived in Parabel settlement. Grigory Severyanovich had a wife Elizabeth Vasilyevna Bolshanina and three sons Fedor, Valentin, and Yuli. He worked at a meteorological station in Parabel. He was engaged in meteorological observations. Then the family moved to Sredny Vasugan where Grigory Severyanovich was appointed a manager of the local meteostation. Grigory Severyanovich was an intelligent, well-educated, sociable and helpful person. He taught local people new technologies in growing up tomatoes and cucumbers. On July 6, 1937 Grigory Severyanovich was arrested as an enemy of the Soviet government. He was shot on October 5, 1937. He was rehabilitated in October, 1959.

6. Valentin Grigoryevich Rudsky was born on August 2, 1926 in Parabel. He spent his childhood in Sredny Vasugan, Kargasok region. After his father’s arrest in 1937 the family moved to Kargasok.

8. Valentin Rudsky graduated from Tomsk State Pedagogical University, the biology and chemistry faculty. For about 20 years he had been teaching geography and biology at school No. 1in Kargasok. According to his students’ words, his lessons were not ordinary and his teaching approach wasn’t traditional at all. For many pupils Valentin Grigoryevich still remains a chief mentor in their life. They keep in contact with him and consider him as the Teacher from God.
