Chronic Disease Management Forum Treatment as prevention – Dr Julio Montaner Role of Primary Care practitioner in HIV care – Dr David Forrest 40 physicians – 1/3 of target Survey showed over 90% Agreed they had better knowledge of: – HIV / AIDS – ARV indication – Treatment as prevention 92% will change their practice based on what they learned

The First Year Data to date………… 40 clients to date ( original POF 50) 14 were previously lost to follow up,5 of those we have started on ARVs 7 were new diagnosis – which accounts for 100% of those diagnosed in our region, 4 are on treatment 2 have moved to Vancouver and we have been able to connect them with a local HIV team
