3 Mission The mission of AIT in the context of the emerging environment is "to develop highly qualified and committed professionals who will play a leading role in the sustainable development of the region and its integration into the global economy". General

25 Number of Credits and Curriculum Structure Master’s Degree: –consist of 48 credits with 720 contact-hours. The thesis option will have a minimum of 26 credits of coursework and 22 credits of thesis whereas a research study option will have a minimum of 38 credits of coursework and 10 credits of research study. Doctoral Degree*: –minimum of 84 credits that comprise a minimum of 24 credits of coursework including 6 credits of special study and 60 credits of thesis. Calendar * May change

26 Number of Credits and Curriculum Structure Certificate of Advanced Studies –minimum of 24 credits of coursework including 6 credits of special study. Diploma: –minimum of 24 credits of coursework including 6 credits of special study leading to a presentation of a project report Certificate: –minimum of 9 credits coursework and is recommended as a trial program for students who seek the transfer to a master’s program if they obtain satisfactory GPA. 27 COST PER PROGRAM (US $) * Based on minimum standard accommodation of US$ 60 per month and minimum personal (food, living and miscellaneous) expenses of US$ 165 per month plus book allowance of US$ 100 per semester. Note, however, that living expenses may vary depending on individual needs and life styles. ** For the doctoral program, the tuition fee already covers nominal research expenditures sufficient to produce a complete dissertation. 28 AIT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE (SCHOLARSHIPS, FELLOWSHIPS AND ASSISTANTSHIPS) Scholarships –Scholarships at the Master and Doctoral levels are awarded on a highly competitive basis to exceptionally well-qualified applicants, in the top 5% of their graduating class. Calendar

29 AIT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE (SCHOLARSHIPS, FELLOWSHIPS AND ASSISTANTSHIPS) Institute Fellowships –The Institute Fellowships are offered to qualified students, who can not avail of the limited number of AIT full scholarships. Fellowships do not include accommodation and living allowance expenses, which are the responsibility of individual students –Fellowships for the Master’s Program take three forms: 12 Credit, 24 Credit or 36 Credit Fellowships –Fellowships for the Doctoral Program take two forms: 26 Credit or 52 Credit Fellowships Calendar
