Supplies: n Notebook paper - standard rule n Pens - ONLY DARK BLUE OR BLACK WILL BE ACCEPTABLE n One “crazy” colored (or red) pen for grammar correction only (DLSB) n Daily work done in colored pen will not be accepted.

Make-Up Work: (JMS Handbook) n Students have 5 days after excused absence to make-up work. n The student is responsible for work that was assigned to him/her before his/her absence. n Prior assignments due on day of return.

Dress for Success: See Handbook - pages 5&6 n No clothing with obscene, profane, suggestive or abusive language n No clothing with advertising that is prohibited for students n No shorts that do not extend beyond the middle fingers n No pants or shorts worn below the waist

Classroom Rules: JMS Handbook n Follow directions and all school rules n Raise your hand for permission to speak or leave your desk n Come to class prepared to work n Be inside the classroom before the tardy bell stops ringing n Respect the rights of others

Consequences for Rules Violations: Handbook n First violation - Recorded warning n Second violation - Recorded warning and call or letter to parents n Third violation - Detention or parent conference n Fourth violation - Student sent to an administrator

Miscellaneous Information: Lockers Miscellaneous Information: Lockers n Lockers will be assigned the first week of school. n Students must furnish their own locks. n Combination locks are recommended. n Locks may be purchased in the school office for $4.00 n Students are not allowed to share lockers.

Miscellaneous Information: Closed Campus Miscellaneous Information: Closed Campus n Jinks Middle School is a closed campus. (See handbook, p.7) n Once a student arrives at school, he/she must remain on campus until the close of the school day, unless they are picked up by a parent. n Students leaving the campus after the dismissal bell (i.e., going to the E-Z Serve) may not return to the campus for club meetings, practices, pick-up, etc.

Miscellaneous Information, cont. n Public display of affection is prohibited on all Bay County School campuses. n The State of Florida furnishes textbooks for all students. n Textbooks will be issued during the first week of the school year. n Gum chewing is not allowed at Jinks Middle School!!!
