Before 1 st day have seating chart made by either CST scores & boy/girl. First organize CST list high to low. Highs on left; lows on right. Back row high all boys. Third row high all girls. Continue. As kids walk in tell them to grab bathroom pass, letter, and PP handout. Have these 3 things in stacks that they just grab. Before you assign their seats, explain where to put backpacks and to have nothing out expect a pencil and these papers. Also explain that name changes will be done immediately after your seat (mispronounced, shortened) Parents & students email have subject line: Student name & period Have student write HW on the handout: 1) signatures 2) supplies/$1.50 3) emails

BEFORE you enter my classroom: 1. Make sure I’m in the room before you enter 2. Do NOT knock or ask permission to enter class. Just come in if you see me. 3. Finish conversations outside 4. Finish food & drinks outside 5. Take off hats before you enter! 6. Read board & get to work. Only see me if you were absent

As soon as you walk in, do the following: 2. Take out HW & supplies 6. Place late/absent work on my desk 5. See me immediately if you were absent 3. GET TO WORK! (planner / correct HW / planner) Do ALL this EVERYDAY WITHOUT being told 1. Read Board & follow instructions 4. Correct & fix HW (if not enough time then do during HW time at the end of class)

1. Getting quiet “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” & hand up 3. Help your neighbors Be Ready! Be Respectful! Be Responsible! 4. Grades on-line & posted after tests/quizzes 2. I’m flexible and understanding so talk to me 5. Email me & check my website 6. Always have out needed supplies & nothing more or less. 7. Backpacks UNDER desks 8. Never touch supplies on your desk unless told.

Asking Questions 1. Lots of routines so figure it out (read the boards or quietly ask a neighbor). 4. Do NOT raise your hand to ask to get a tissue, bandaide, use restroom, sharpen pencil, throw trash away, purchase supplies, etc - JUST DO IT 2. Do NOT ask directional questions (read the boards or quietly ask a neighbor). 3. Save individual (non-math) questions for the end of class or snack time

Absences (including field trips) 1. Get absent work in advance & notify teachers 2. Take quizzes/tests BEFORE your absence 3. Email me when your absent or will be absence 4. If there is a quiz/test the day you return, then you still need to take it. 5. See me at the very start of class if you were absent It’s YOUR responsibility to get absent work finished 6. Make-up tests/quizzes @ the following tutorial

Grade Breakdown 20% Homework 10% Classwork 70% Tests & Quizzes -In-class activities, assignments, tasks, etc -Given weekly -Study Practice Tests -Pencil. -Must write question, show ALL work, & box answers. -No incomplete accepted work accepted. -Late credit is 50%. -Due beginning of class -Expect it everyday

Tutorial: 2. 30 minutes of study/work time in any class 5. Why would I stamp your planner 3. Thursday is math priority 1) Missing work 2) Quiz/Test Re-Do 3) Quiz/Test Prep 4) Absent 1. School-wide Tuesday thru Friday 4. Stamped planner means tutorial is mandatory
