2 Nominative case There are two adjective ending in the nominative case for –der words: -e or –en Masculine: Der blaue Regenmantel ist zu klein. (The blue raincoat is too small) Feminine: Die schwarze Jacke ist zu eng. (The black jacket is too tight) Neutral: Das bunte Kleid ist teuer.(The colorful dress is expensive) Plural: Die weichen Socken sind billig. (The soft socks are cheap)

3 Accusative case There are two adjective ending in the accusative case for –der words: -e or –en Masculine: Ich kaufe den blauen Regenmantel. ( Ill buy the blue raincoat) Feminine: Ich kaufe die schwarze Jacke (Ill buy the black jacket) Neutral: Ich kaufe das bunte Kleid.(Ill buy the colorful dress) Plural: Ich kaufe die weichen Socken. (Ill buy the soft socks.)

4 Dative case There is one adjective ending in the dative case for –der words: –en Masculine: Ich gehe in dem blauen Regenmantel einkaufen. (I am going shopping in the blue raincoat) Feminine: Ich gehe in der schwarzen Jacke einkaufen. (I am going shopping in the black jacket) Neutral: Ich gehe in dem bunten Kleid einkaufen.(I am going shopping in the colorful dress) Plural: Ich gehe in den weichen Socken einkaufen. (I am going shopping in the soft socks.)
