Definition (1) RT (respiratory system): The organs that are involved in breathing.

Definition (2) The organs and cells that take in oxygen and get rid of carbon dioxide.

Definition (3) Respirations the act of breathing: inhaling (inspiration) - taking in oxygen exhaling (expiration) - giving off carbon dioxide.
