The Norther Pass Project This is a DC power line that brings 1,200 Megawatts of power to NH from Qubec-Hydro Company Creates energy diversity and will bring reliable low cost power Hydro power is relatively low impact to the environment Will create 1,200 good paying jobs Will create 25 million dollars in new property taxes that will support communities and schools $259 - $316 million in increased economic output during construction phase PSNH has agreed to buy this power to ensure success $200 million dollars in electricity savings when first line is opened
