Tennessee State Curriculum Standard 1 The student who is information literate accesses information efficiently and effectively. Standard 4 The student who is an independent learner is information literate and pursues information related to personal interests. O nce upon a time, a beautiful little girl in third grade came to the library. She was in search of her favorite story entitled: Cinderella.

When she came through the library, she could hardly believe her eyes. Everywhere the beautiful girl looked, she saw books.

After the beautiful girl looked for what seemed like days (it really had only been 5 minutes), she asked her librarian to help her.

The librarian began to tell her about the many wonders of The Dewey Decimal System.

The beautiful girl was able to find her book, Cinderella so quickly. She lived happily ever after.

Once you have learned these groups of books it will be much easier and quicker when you are looking for a nonfiction book!
