American Sign Language (ASL) is not a universal language. ASL is the language of Deaf people and culture in the USA and much of Canada. There are over 8 million deaf or hard of hearing people in the USA (*you do not need to copy the source, but here it is if you want it: J. Deaf Stud. Deaf Educ. Remember ASL does not use the verb “to be” (“is, am, are, etc.”) nor use the sign “and” Then, we will then sign them as a class! 1. He is stressed, nervous, and excited! 2. Nice to meet you! 3. I am hearing. 4. I didn’t go to the bathroom. 5. Are you deaf? 6. I’m learning ASL. 7. Slow down please, and repeat the sign again.
