Fluency Practice Fluency practice is to learn to read smoothly and flow easily. Students have been trained in class: Read summary twice through first. Then on third read, time student for one minute and count the words read correctly. Mistakes are not counted. Each week a new summary of our story will be sent home on Wednesday and is to be brought back on Thursday with parent signature and word count! Monthly Oral Reports These are due on their assigned day once a month. The topic can be anything! The grade is based on a rubric from the district. You can find this in their active file. I am looking at their oration skills! The grades are also on the report card every trimester.
