Humanoid A humanoid is a type of robot that is made to act like a human. (talk, walk, ect)

Industrial Robots Industrial robots are usually robotic arms that are used to make different types of things like cars, metal parts and other everyday appliances

Android An android is a robot or synthetic organism designed to look and act like a human. An android is similar to a humanoid.

Animal Robots Being able to walk, see its environment through camera, and recognize spoken commands in 日本語 and English, the AIBO robotic pets are considered to be a robot since they are able to learn and mature based on external stimuli from their owner or environment.

Guard Robots With cameras and sensors, the Guardrobo D1 patrols a preprogrammed route in the building where it operates. It can send camera footage or contact people by radio if there is a fire or a break-in. It is equipped with a fire extinguisher and can also shoot paint bullets at strangers. Guardrobo D1 is a 198-pound robot that guards against intruders, fires and water leaks. It is approximately 3 feet 6 inches tall. Rescue Robot Rescue robots are used for aiding rescue workers in natural disasters, fires, hostage situations, or explosions were it’s to dangerous for humans to go.

Interesting facts Robots have been around since the 18 th century The first known case of robot homicide occurred in 1981, when a robotic arm crushed a Japanese Kawasaki factory worker Winebot, built by Japan’s NEC System Technologies and Mie University, can ID scads of different wines and cheeses. It recently mistook a reporter’s hand for prosciutto.
