U2U – Rolling out the tools Year 3 Plans: Prepare for piloting of DSTs Target audiences and tools Piloting to occur in 4 pilot states Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Nebraska Roll-out plan may depend on the type of DST

U2U – Possible audiences Currently envision 3 major target audiences Extension educators Crop advisors Producers Would like to integrate into existing programming opportunities or meeting series as much as possible

U2U – Extension educators Would like to effectively reach “core” of 2-10 extension personnel in each state They would know and understand the DSTs and be the local experts My first approach is based on the structure I know for Iowa (different extension structures in different states)

U2U – Extension educators Iowa State University Ag Extension has a team structure Ag. EngineeringFarm Management CropsHorticulture BeefDairy Swine Each team has two ‘”in-service” meetings each year to discuss current and new programming
