Reality: In most cases, members have already determined (consciously/unconsciously) if they will stay prior to receiving the renewal Fact: The Renewal form is the last step in an effective retention campaign Involving New Members

Welcome New Members with: Special newsletter, fax or broadcast e-mail that includes information a new member may not be aware of New Member Welcome Kit Send a special letter, e-mail or postcard welcoming new members Personally invite them to events Establish a welcome committee for every event Follow-up with first-time attendees after the event

Solution 1: Hold a joint Chapter- Section/Branch meeting Solution 2: Hold your Section and Branch meeting on campus Fact: Almost one-third of students don’t know their practitioner advisor (although 96% of those that do are very satisfied with them). Solution: Find an active Practitioner Advisor, like recently graduated alumni
