5/10/201017 Sensitivity to Magnetic Field GlueX Col meeting, A. Gasparian Possible modifications: change the G10 housing to sift ion housing and extend it to ~1” insert optical extension extend the brass strips (look at different options first) No need to change the optical wrapping The current design do not have extended µ-metal on photocathode Try to shield the FCAL frame with some µ-metal, if it is all possible

5/10/201018 Summary The Hybrid Calorimeter concept have been successfully reapproved with the HyCal calorimeter in the PrimEx experiment. Technical and methodical aspects of the Hybrid calorimeter are well understood and tested. On-site expertise is available. HyCal is equipped with ~2000 channel power supply (CAEN) unit; Trigger and analog electronics are old. 1152 PbWO 4 high resolution, radiation hard crystal detectors are available for future experiments. HyCal will stay in Hall B up to the end of PrimEx-II experiment. GlueX Col meeting, A. Gasparian
