Your Instructor’s Personal Commitment to his Students: Regular contact in regard to the total FBM Program. Assistance upon request. Personal Commitment to improve the student’s farming operation. Complete confidentiality in the Farm Business Management Program. Accounting procedure expectations throughout the calendar year. Educational expectations throughout the calendar year.

Instructor’s Personal Commitment Continued: Goal setting and follow-up expectations throughout the calendar year. Personal gain from the annual farm analysis to improve farming position.

What does the Riverland KW-FBM Program offer students? Accounting procedures assistance: – Farm account book training. – Computerized farm accounting. Annual farm records close-out and taxes preparation assistance: Annual farm business analysis (FINAN) and follow-up: Cash flow generation (FINFLO), assistance and follow-up.

Riverland KW-FBM Program Continued: Decision making assistance on enterprises being evaluated within the farming operation. Farm tax estimation assistance. Adult computer continuing education training courses. Marketing discussion and the development of an annual marketing plan. Goal setting carried out for short-term, intermediate and long- term goals.

Riverland KW-FBM Program Continued: Decision making assistance relative to making changes within respective enterprises within the farming operation. Government program information and awareness to pending or existing programs. Instruction relative to the tuition based program offered through Riverland Community College taught through scheduled classes or on-site instruction.

The Typical FBM Instructor Day: No two people handle their jobs exactly the same but the same duties are addressed in meeting the goals and objectives of the individual FBM department/ – State/Riverland Curriculum

The Typical FBM Instructor Day: Each instructor develops his own daily plan, which is known to the other instructors in the department. This daily plan is subject to change at any time in this business, however. – Student cash flow need – Lender assistance

The Typical FBM Instructor Day: Daily scheduling is the responsibility of the individual instructor with certain protected dates and times. – Office hours

The Typical FBM Instructor Day: The daily work schedule is 8-10 hours or more to accomplish the objectives of the program. Some periods of the year demand more hours than others. – Annual records close-outs – Annual farm analysis – Annual tax estimate

The Typical FBM Instructor Week: Each instructor develops his own weekly plan, which is known to the other instructors in the department. The weekly plan is subject to change at any time in this business, however. – Special meetings – Workshops
