1 How to help the planet By Julia & Abby

2 Introduction  Start by saving energies like turning off the lights and you will also save money and get money by refunding using the three R’s. Which are reduce,reuse,and recycle. Every one should help save the world before the world has no use.

4 Composting This is a compost bin You can put fruit& veggies,egg shells, tea bags, and coffee grounds. You can have compost bins in your backyard or inside your house. Either way worms help decompose compost.

5 Recycling This is a recycling bin You can put yogurt containers milk cartons juice boxes etc…

6 Saving energies Instead of using the normal light bulbs try using the swirly kind Although the swirly kind are more money to buy they use 9 times less energy then the old kind of light bulb, so you are saving money by replacing less often.

7 It is good that people are recycling. Look at This Good side Bad side It is bad for the earth to litter and it also looks terrible.

8 Facts I bet you didn't know There is a floating island of garbage between here and Hawaii that is twice the size as Texas!!! In some states of America they don’t know what a recycling bin is !!!! Recycling in Seattle, Madison, Wisconsin, and Washington isn’t optional it is now the laws. In Malaysia they have to use rainwater for things like watering plants and flushing toilets. The treated water is saved for cooking and drinking.

11 Floating island of garbage  You might have seen some garbage in the ocean but I bet you haven’t seen a floating island of garbage. Since a third of the earth is water there is a portion of it getting polluted. The worst garbage for the ocean is the plastic that goes around pop and beer cans, because it gets wrapped around the animals necks and suffocates them.
