Floor Debates Read changes to bill from the committee. Speaker/Pro Tempore will recognize members to speak. When finishing speech, say, “I yield the floor.” Bill must be passed by a roll call vote within 30 minutes.

Quick Write Yesterday in the Senate, your bill, S5 was killed by a Republican filibuster. Write an obituary to your class bill. Use vocabulary (and humor) where appropriate.
