3 What can I do to make my child successful? It gives them a chance to grow and you a chance to guide.

4 When will they be tested on this? Students have a quiz every Friday over the study guide to review what we did that week. Students will have a test at midterm and at the end of the quarter as a culmination of all the previous information. Since Science is cumulative, students are expected to remember things previously taught in class.

5 Grades This class runs on a 5-point (A-F) scale based on how many points your student earns out of the total points available in the class. You can always check your student’s grade on the Infinite Campus portal as well as email me with questions. There’s nothing wrong with showing your student how to calculate their GPA. Then let them see how their GPA measures up to their proposed college or career.

8 If Your Student Is Absent… Your student is responsible for making up lost work : Please have your student see me when they return so that I can explain the material and get them any work that they missed. In most cases, I can email them missing notes to help them catch up faster.

11 Study Guides Study guides are given out every week and should be completed by Friday for a stamp. These are designed to help students review the week’s material and prepare for the quiz on Friday.
