6 Industry Credential  Class of 2017 and beyond need an industry credential to graduate. This means that you passed a test in a CTE course that shows you are knowledgeable in that area:  Examples of classes that offer I.C.  Economics & Personal Finance  Pruden Center courses  Engineering Drawing

8 Promotion to 10 th Grade  Successfully completed at least five (5) credits including English 9, a Mathematics, and three (3) other courses AND  have at least one SOL verified credit in Science, History or Mathematics

9 Promotion to 11 th Grade  Successfully completed at least ten (10) credits including English 10 and one Mathematics, one Science, and one History AND  Have one Mathematics, one Science, and one History SOL for a total of three verified SOL credits

10 Promotion to 12 th Grade  Successfully completed at least 15 credits including English 11 and two Mathematics, two Sciences, and two History classes and enrollment in those courses which will lead to graduation AND  have one SOL verified Mathematics, one Science, one History and one English for a total of four SOL verified credits

11 Graduation  Successfully completed at least the requirements of the standard diploma and at least six (6) SOL verified credits: two (2) English, one (1) mathematics, one (1) science, one (1) history, and one (1) student selected.

12 Getting the IB Diploma  At least 24 Points  Numeric grades awarded in all 6 subjects registered for the IB diploma (1-7)  All CAS requirements met  Grade for Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge  At least 12 points on HL  At least 9 points on SL

19 Suggestions for IB Students  Do your homework the night it is assigned  Study a little each night for tests/quizzes  Use the calendar in your phone, ipad, agenda etc. to keep up with assignments  Form study groups  Get help from teachers, IB Mentors, outside tutors  Try something different  Don’t give up your outlets
