49. Stage One: 1. There is, first of all, an investigation of all pertinent facts we call a TRIAL.

51. Stage Three: 3. Then they determine a fitting punishment for the crime (a $100 fine, a prison term, death) we call the PENALTY PHASE.

52. Stage Four: 4. There is often a careful assessment of the verdict and the penalty we call a JUDICIAL REVIEW.

53. Stage Five: 5. There is, finally, an ultimate CARRYING OUT of the verdict / penalty we call the EXECUTION of the sentence.

54. Apparently, on the basis of Scripture, the SAME process holds true in God’s Final Judgment of mankind.

55. Once again, that Judicial PROCESS may include: 1. An investigation — a TRIAL 2. A decision — a VERDICT 3. A punishment — a PENALTY 4. A judicial REVIEW 5. An EXECUTION of the sentence.

61. This situation is a PERFECT PARALLEL to those saints whose names come up in God’s pre-Advent, investigative Judgment.
