Greece Geography Notes O Greece is a small country in Europe. O Greece is near the Mediterranean Sea. O The main part of Greece is on a peninsula. O A peninsula is a body of land surrounded by water on three sides. O The rest of Greece is made up of islands.

Greece Geography Notes O Jobs included fishing, sailing, trading, and farming O Soil was thin and rocky but were able to grow some crops. They also raised sheep and goats. O Sea provided link to trade and cultural exchange with Mediterranean communities O Isolationism: protection but lack of effective communication O Greece was organized into polis (independent city states) separated by seas and mountains
