1 Book The Land of the an 11 day tour of Israel and Palestine based in Galilee, Bethlehem and Jerusalem led by Mike Fuller

2 Mike Fuller is a Baptist Minister, international Bible teacher, New Wine speaker, teacher of Religious Studies, and author of “The Entire Story of the Bible in 50 Minutes”.

3 Friday 15 th August Morning flight from London Heathrow to Tel Aviv

4 On to our Hotel in Tiberias, a few hundred yards from the Sea of Galilee Evening free! Friday 15 th August

5 We start the day with an “orientation” multi-media presentation introducing Galilee… Saturday 16 th August

6 We start to explore Galilee more, passing Mount Tabor (a possible site of the Transfiguration) … Saturday 16 th August

7 We visit Cana (the site of Jesus’ first miracle, turning water into wine) … Saturday 16 th August

8 In Nazareth, we visit sites connected with the childhood of Jesus … The Church of the Annunciation The Church of the Well Saturday 16 th August

9 … we also visit Nazareth Village, built to show and explain life and trades in the time of Jesus. Saturday 16 th August

10 … and the Mount of the Precipice, where Jesus walked through the crowd that sought to throw him down. Saturday 16 th August

11 We view the valley of Armageddon … Saturday 16 th August

12 At the end of the day, it may be possible to baptise any member of the group who wants this – in the Jordan river Please talk to Mike about this beforehand! Saturday 16 th August

13 We begin the day viewing the 2000 year old “Jesus boat” at a nearby kibbutz … Sunday 17 th August

14 We sail across the lake on a replica of this boat, pausing on the lake for our Sunday worship… Sunday 17 th August

15 We visit Kursi on the Sea of Galilee - the site associated with the story of the “Gadarene swine” … Sunday 17 th August

16 … the recently discovered village of Bethsaida, Peter and Andrew’s home … The “Fishermen’s House” at Bethsaida Sunday 17 th August

17 … then continue to Capernaum (Jesus’ home town) … Sunday 17 th August

18 … where we see Peter’s house and the ancient synagogue. Sunday 17 th August

19 We visit Tabgha (associated with the feeding of the 5000, and one of Jesus’ resurrection appearances) Sunday 17 th August

20 We end the day with worship together on the “Mount of the Beatitudes” Sunday 17 th August

21 Leaving the Galilee, we drive south to Jericho … Monday 18 th August

22 … viewing not only the excavations that date back to the time of Joshua - but also sites associated with the ministry of Jesus Monday 18 th August

23 We pass through the Wadi Kelt (the valley of the shadow of death) and view St George’s Monastery Monday 18 th August

24 Approaching Jerusalem, we visit Bethany to see the tomb of Lazarus … Monday 18 th August

25 Our new hotel is within the Palestinian territory, in Bethlehem Monday 18 th August

26 In the morning we visit Herodion, one of Herod’s palaces … … Tuesday 19 th August

27 … then see the “Shepherds’ Fields”, and worship in one of the ancient shepherds’ caves. Tuesday 19 th August

28 We visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. Tuesday 19 th August

30 The remainder of the day is free to meet local Arab Christians, visit the Bethlehem Bible College, and visit a local orphanage Tuesday 19 th August

31 Arriving in Jerusalem, we view the city from the top of the Mount of Olives … Wednesday 20th August

32 We enter Jerusalem, seeing for the first time the Western Wall - a buttressing wall which is all that remains of the Temple … Wednesday 20th August

33 … and explore the tunnels under the Temple Mount … Wednesday 20th August

34 … at one point, walking on flagstones that Jesus almost certainly walked on. Wednesday 20th August

35 We see the Southern Wall excavations – once more, walking on flagstones that Jesus almost certainly walked on. Wednesday 20th August

36 We continue to see the excavations of David’s city Wednesday 20th August

37 … and, for those who want, walk through Hezekiah’s tunnel … Wednesday 20th August

38 … finishing at the Pool of Siloam. Wednesday 20th August

39 We return to the Western Wall - the buttressing wall which is all that remains of the Temple … … hopefully, seeing a Bar Mitzvah… Thursday 21 st August

40 We see the Temple Mount, now the location of the Al Aqsa mosque Thursday 21 st August

41 ….and then walk down into Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, following the route Jesus took on the first Palm Sunday … Thursday 21 st August

42 …. stopping at the Dominus Flavit church, which marks the place where Jesus wept over Jerusalem Thursday 21 st August

43 We spend some time in contemplation and worship at Gethsemane … Thursday 21 st August

45 … and then follow the “Last path” through the Kidron valley … Thursday 21 st August

49 In the evening, we visit the newly extended Yad Vashem Holocaust museum … Thursday 21 st August

50 … and then settle into our new hotel, just a few minutes’ walk from the old city of Jerusalem Thursday 21 st August

51 Returning to the Old City, we visit the Bethesda pool, where Jesus healed a paralysed man Friday 22 nd August

52 We see the Lithostratus (thought to be part of the courtyard from Herod’s Antonia Fortress) Friday 22 nd August

53 We follow part of the “Via Dolorosa” – remembering Jesus’ walk to the cross … Friday 22 nd August

54 We see the Church of the Holy Sepulchre - the traditional location of the crucifixion Friday 22 nd August

55 We finish the day with quiet reflection at an alternative site for Jesus’ death and resurrection … “Gordon’s Calvary” and the Garden Tomb Friday 22 nd August

56 A day in the desert! After an early breakfast, we drive south to the desert and the fortress of Masada … Saturday 23 rd August

57 We visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found … Saturday 23 rd August

58 We see the oasis of Ein Gedi, associated with the story of David and Saul … Saturday 23 rd August

59 … and have the opportunity to “swim” in the Dead Sea! Saturday 23 rd August

60 Sunday 24 th August Our morning worship is in Jerusalem … … either at Christchurch, an Anglican Church inside the city walls with Messianic links … or at East Jerusalem Baptist Church, an English speaking congregation with a number of Palestinian believers

61 Sunday 24 th August The remainder of the day is free to explore Jerusalem

62 Monday 25 th August In the morning, we see the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum …
