33 Parents as Partners Be supportive of your child-ask about his/her day. Set up a homework time and place. Check and Sign Assignment Book. –Sign at least once a week* more if needed Read to your child! Ask your child about the books he/she is reading. Encourage your child to read independently.

34 Parents as Partners When out at restaurants and stores, ask math questions. Encourage your child to pack his/her bag before bedtime. Monitor bedtime and breakfast. Discuss and begin to narrow down after school choices. Communicate high expectations and confidence in your child. Be a good ROLE MODEL!
