Unification History Pre-unification, two separately governed, but commonly administered, districts: Turlock Joint Elementary School District and Turlock Joint Union High School District Each board was comprised of five members elected at large Unification of the two districts led to the formation of a seven member board elected by an at-large vote from within the boundaries of the former Turlock Joint Union High School District. The unification was effective July 1,2004 The unified district also serves two component K-8 elementary districts: Chatom Union School District and Keyes Union School District

8. Election Change Process The governing board adopted a resolution seeking to change from at-large to by-trustee area voting (January 19, 2010) The County Committee approved the election change following a public hearing (December 15, 2010)
