Shooting Stars By Angeline ä A shooting star can be a meteor or a comet. ä Not all shooting stars can orbit around the sun. ä They can grow from the size of a piece of grain to the size of a golf ball.

The Moon By Ashley ä The Moon is made out of rocky balls. ä The Moon still has enough gravity to tug on earth’s ocean. ä Long ago some people in countries believed the moon had special powers. ä Sometimes when two full moons occur in a single month it’s called a blue moon.

Comets by Corey ä Comets are made of ice, gas and dust. ä Some people call comets dirty snow balls. ä Comets go around the sun. ä They have cold middles.

Challenger By:Cy ä The Challenger is 230,000 pounds, 122 ft. wide,& 57 ft. long. ä It is launched with 1 fuel tank & 2 booster rockets. ä When it blew up it sent gas & fuel into the air. ä 7 astronauts died in the accident.

Saturn by Dane Cline ä Saturns’ moon, Mimas has a mountain bigger than Mount Everest. ä It has more rings than any other planet. ä Saturn is many different colors. ä Saturn is the second biggest planet in the solar system.

The International Space Station by Jared ä The International Space Station was began in 1998and is still being built today. ä The I.S.S. orbits Earth. ä There is going to be an escape vechile called X- 38. ä People from 16 countries will be joining together to work on the ISS.

The Hubble By Karim ä The Hubble is a huge reflecting telescope. ä It collects images on a primary mirror. ä It circles the Earth every 96 minutes. ä 10 times better than the telescope on earth.

The Milky Way By Kye Smart ä More than 200 billion stars are in the Milky Way. ä Made of stars and clouds, gas and dust. ä It looks like a band of white light. ä It looks milky, that’s why they gave it the name.
