Thinking points Where are Joha and his son going? How many groups of people offer advice? Why do the last group of people laugh at Joha and his son?

Hear My Voice The rest of the class have to try and get the blindfolded person to make mistakes by calling out false instructions In this game one person will be blindfolded They will have one partner who will talk to them and try and guide them around obstacles

Who is right? THINK:By yourself, think about the comments made by the people in story and decide who you think is most correct. PAIR:In a pair, share your ideas and see what your partner thought. SHARE:Share your ideas with the whole class (take it in turns!) Does everyone agree?

Different opinions In the story lots of people had different opinions - what were they? What modern day issues might people disagree about?

Recycling ‘There’s no point recycling, because not everyone does it’ ‘We should recycle some things but not others’ ‘It’s too much of an effort to separate your rubbish’ ‘I can’t recycle because the council doesn’t support it’ ‘Recycling will save the planet’ An example: Recycling
