More touch points with the traveller = more revenue opportunities for you Journey Manager provides an end-to-end travel management solution that is highly customized for a personalized solution that enhances the entire travel experience through all stages of travel. The solution is implemented as a series of distributed services allowing for any device, anywhere, any time service. Journey Manager will allow travelers to research, plan, book and manage travel through all stages from their PC, any kiosk or terminal, or their mobile phone and make updates in real time. The notification system or “Virtual Travel Agent” supports the traveler through all phases, greatly simplifying changes on-the-fly with a focus on a personalized traveler experience. Quality customer intelligence provides even more contextual information for generating supplier recommendations/advertising/promotions throughout the entire journey. For travelers, the solution will also generate a number of travel-related artifacts, including driving directions from the various points in the trip (office to departure airport, destination airport to hotel, hotel to meeting), an expense report in Excel 2007, and an itinerary. 6 Example Customer Engagement Scenarios
Action Response Frequent traveller visits the site. Upon searching for a flight into Rome, the traveller adds the flight to their shopping basket. While the traveller normally stays during the weekdays, this time there is a Saturday night stay. Journey Manager presents the traveller with a targeted offer for a local hotel, as well as lunch at a local restaurant on the Saturday, bookable online. A plane’s arrival has been delayed in Munich. Upon realisation of the late arrival, you discover that 5 travellers are on business in Munich, and have booked their hotel via the site. The Journey Manager site messages each of these travellers via their preferred method, noted in their profile with the contact information for the hotel. Travellers are systematically provided via SMS text with the hotels’ front desk number. In the event that a traveller does not have a car hire in their arrival city, Journey Manager messages the traveller and suggests the booking of a car hire via the Journey Manager mobile application. A business traveller is going on a business trip to a city they have previously not visited. Knowing this, you direct the traveller to the Journey Manager mobile application and suggest that they install it on their blackberry prior to departure.
