2 Background - Consistently inconsistent… - 1.Major in a university in Japan: Astrophysics 2.First job: system engineer in one of the biggest computer companies in Japan 3.Master degree: Environmental sciences at UCSB (Landscape ecology – connectivity) 4.Now: Marine sciences (but 1: still spend a week in mountains on vacations but 2: now taking a PADI Open Water Dive course)

3 Skills 1.ArcGIS: Intermediate 2.R: Beginner 3.MatLab: Nothing 4.Python: Intermediate 5.Other languages: PHP (pro), VB (pro), KML (pro), Javascript (pro), Google Maps API (super pro)

4 OBIS-SEAMAP Google Earth Technology

5 Future collaborations between NaGISA and us 1.Online visualization of the products we are going to produce 2.Google Earth animations 3.(Optional) site visit in Japan…
