2 Section Three The City I live in is called: The province I live in is called: How many provinces are there? And which one do you live in? There are 7 continents, and I live in North America What is your cultural heritage? Chinese

3 Section Three What is the difference between national and international? National: within one country International: two or more countries How many provinces and territories are there in Canada? 10 provinces and 3 territories Who is the prime minister of Canada? Stephen Harper

4 Who is the President of the United States? Barack Obama How many planets is out solar system comprised of? Name them: There are 8, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus & Neptune. What is the difference between a fact and an opinion? A fact is a true statement, and an opinion is just what someone thinks. Section Three

5 What are three current issues taking place around the world? Explain. 1) Global Warming Global warming is a major issue that takes place all around the world. It caused hundreds of disasters like hurricanes and floods. 2) World Hunger World hunger is when people die from the lack of food and water, because they either can’t afford it, or there just isn’t enough. Section Three

6 3) Pollution Pollution is a very serious environmental problem. It’s when people throw litter on the ground or do other environmentally harmful things that pollute the planet. Section Three

7 S ECTION F OUR What if you found 300$ on the ground what would you do? Explain. Honestly, I would keep it and use it to buy myself things. If you and an elderly person got onto a bus that had only one seat left what would you do? Explain. I would give that seat to the elderly person because it’s a polite thing to do and it wouldn’t hurt to stand for just a while. Explain the difference between right and wrong. Right is something that’s correct and mostly good, and wrong is something that’s incorrect.

8 What do you consider a responsible person to be? Explain/Describe. A responsible person is someone who is reliable and works hard, and also does correctly and neatly. What are three qualities you like about yourself? Three qualities that I like about myself is that I know how to play the piano, I’m good at math, and I can also draw. What are three qualities or characteristics you don’t like about yourself? I don’t like how I’m not that good at science and socials, and also not that good at public speaking.

9 Section Five  How many languages can you speak? I can speak Mandarin Chinese, English, and a bit of French.  Name five things you can tell me about Canada. 1) Canada is a free country 2) Canada is a country that doesn’t have war 3) Canada doesn’t have a lot of pollution 4) Canada’s Prime Minister is Stephen Harper 5) Canada’s the worlds second-largest country

10 Section Five  Name five customs or traditions that you and your family celebrate that we don’t see in Canada. 1) If there’s someone at least 10 years older than me, I can’t call them by their names because it’s not polite. 2) We also almost eat rice because in Asia rice is really popular. 3) I celebrate Chinese New Year with my family members. 4) I speak Mandarin at home 5) For Christmas, we don’t really get presents because we just say what we want and we can get it.
