2. CONFICIUS Was born In August 27,551 B.C in the Lu state of China. His teachings, focused on creating ethical models of family and public interaction, and setting educational standards.

3. CONFUCIANISM Confucianism later became the official imperial philosophy of China. Confucianism is not a religion it is, rather, accepting Confucius as the great master of the art of living.

4. SIX ARTS His philosophy of education focused on the "Six Arts": archery, calligraphy, computation, music, chariot-driving and ritual. To Confucius, the main objective of being an educator was to teach people to live with integrity.

5. CONFUCIUS Confucius is credited with writing and editing some of the most influential traditional Chinese classics. These include a rearrangement of the Book of Odes. He also compiled a historical account of the 12 dukes of Lu, called the Spring and Autumn Annals.

6. CONFUCIUS One of his most renowned concepts is summed up in the often translated and transmitted phrase: “Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself”. “Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself”.

7. PHILOSOPHICAL IDEAS Confucius basically believed that that ruler lived to serve the people, not the other way around. Confucius's also hold strongly to the beliefs of ancestral worship or worshiping their ancestors as well as strong family loyalty and respect to elders. Their basic tenants are also described in Li, Yi, and Xin.
