Main Character – the most important characters in a story Minor Character – other characters in the story who interact with the main characters and help move the story along. Dynamic Character – characters that undergo changes as the plot unfolds. Static Character – characters who remain the same emotionally, mentally, or spiritually Round Character – characters that have many “sides” or traits; have a full range of emotions; complex characters who have many personality traits revealed Flat Character – characters that have only one or two “sides” representing one or two traits; characters that are described simply or stereotypically
