We feel that all of the above are to be accomplished through teaching, learning and educating the spiritual, social and cultural facets of every individual. Prayers Requests for our ministry: * “Festival Día del Niño” at “Niños de la Promesa” orphanage May 2 in Tijuana, Mexico. * Church projects the second quarter of 2009: *Marriage Seminary next class May 9, at the Public Library in West Chula Vista, CA. Instructors Jesus & Gloria Vazquez. “Festival Día de la Madre” May 10, in Cristina’s house. Community activities: 1) Silvia Bendiner a member of our Church "El Refugio" will organize bilingual courses in English and Spanish to assist legal permanent residents improve their English language skills, gain knowledge of U.S. history and government (civics), and prepare for the naturalization application and interview process.1) Silvia Bendiner a member of our Church "El Refugio" will organize bilingual courses in English and Spanish to assist legal permanent residents improve their English language skills, gain knowledge of U.S. history and government (civics), and prepare for the naturalization application and interview process. 2) Church "El Refugio" could also provide direct services to immigrants with legal status in the United States providing the following English as a Second Language (ESL) or English Language (EL)/Civics instruction, Citizenship education; Educational resources (textbooks, language software, computers, etc), Naturalization preparation assistance (including case management); and Citizenship-focused community outreach and staff/volunteer training. 2) Church "El Refugio" could also provide direct services to immigrants with legal status in the United States providing the following English as a Second Language (ESL) or English Language (EL)/Civics instruction, Citizenship education; Educational resources (textbooks, language software, computers, etc), Naturalization preparation assistance (including case management); and Citizenship-focused community outreach and staff/volunteer training. 3) Church "El Refugio" through these activities and others plan to work with local public middle, high schools and elementary schools, and with the activities we have already in the Public Parks, our Church will grow, expand and ignite the Kairos movement through teaching, learning and educating individuals from the border cities, Chula Vista, and Tijuana, Mexico.3) Church "El Refugio" through these activities and others plan to work with local public middle, high schools and elementary schools, and with the activities we have already in the Public Parks, our Church will grow, expand and ignite the Kairos movement through teaching, learning and educating individuals from the border cities, Chula Vista, and Tijuana, Mexico.
