What is network neutrality? Network Neutrality is the principle that internet users should be able to access web content, download or upload files, and communicate in methods of their choice without restrictions or limitations imposed by their ISP.

Who wants to get rid of it? The Nation's Largest telephone and cable companies Internet gatekeepers Tax, Discriminate, slow down or block services provided by competitors. Tiered internet with faster service Spending Millions to kill net neutrality

What is at stake? Innovation and creativity Market Competition Information availability Freedom of expression

What is congress doing? Republicans/contributors from phone and cable companies are against Net Neutrality and the FCC's authority to protect consumers' rights to connect to the internet. Senate is trying to ensure the broadband Internet continues to serve as a source of innovation, free speech and job growth “The Internet Freedom, Broadband Promotion, and Consumer Protection Act of 2011” Communications Act, safeguarding the future of the internet.
