10. What is congress doing? Republicans/contributors from phone and cable companies are against Net Neutrality and the FCC's authority to protect consumers' rights to connect to the internet. Senate is trying to ensure the broadband Internet continues to serve as a source of innovation, free speech and job growth  “The Internet Freedom, Broadband Promotion, and Consumer Protection Act of 2011”  Communications Act, safeguarding the future of the internet.
