Requires agencies receiving appropriations for IT to perform cost- benefit analysis of leasing vs. purchasing Enforces agencies’ compliance to Data Center Services (DCS) requirements and participation in DIR bulk purchases when making IT purchases Allows DIR to require state agencies with IT purchase plans to participate in bulk purchasing efforts Requires DIR to report cost savings of bulk purchases to the LBB TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS FOR GOVERNMENT AND EDUCATION

Resources DIR Website FAQs, Quick Reference SB 20 Events State Agencies Webinar: August 12 Vendors Town Hall: July 27, 2-3:30 pm Webinar: August 25, 2-3 pm​ Customer, Vendor Portals Website is going to be a dynamic and evolving resource for more information. -- SB 20 Frequently Asked Questions and a Quick Reference Guide have been posted to our website and will be updated on a regular basis We will be developing webinars as part of our initiative to further provide educational opportunities for IT related procurement and contracting DIR is working on establishing a web-based application that will allow both customer and vendors to submit various types of documents. This customer/vendor portal will offer expanded features to our existing exemption process. As mentioned earlier, it will allow for SOWs to be submitted by the customer, tracking and allowing for real-time data exchanged through a secure portal to DIR. Vendors will be able to electronically submit monthly vendor sales reports. This automation will allow a more streamlined process for your agency, our vendors and DIR as well.
