ANNOUNCEMENTS ASB students are now creating and reading video announcements If you have any additions to announcements, please email the exact copy you would like AS IT SHOULD BE READ 3-4 days in advance. Kids film two days before.

Adopt – a - platoon Monday, January 28 th to Friday, February 1 st Homeroom competition – collection and count will be on the 1st ASB reps will explain to class in homeroom this Friday Letters (template provided) – doesn’t cost anything and they can practice business letter writing skills (English standard) Other goods and personal items – see list provided Given to Mission Viejo Marines & Sailors Adoption Committee for delivery

VALENTINE GRAMS $1 for a sucker and a personalized note On sale Monday, February 4 th through Wednesday, February 12 th Sale is at lunch in front of Mrs. Shew’s room F-4 Delivered on February 13 th or 14 th, depending on furlough Money will help fund decorations for a dance being held at Los Alisos on March 22 nd from 3:00-5:00

BMX SHOW Rescheduled to Tuesday, February 12 th MOD 2 / Period 4 (regular schedule) Wristbands will be returned to you – please email me if you kept your wristbands so I don’t recreate them PBIS Reward: Cupcake party is also today at lunch

BOOK DISCUSSION RSVP February 11 th to English teachers still need volunteers to help facilitate circles– email Mrs. Shew Books this time : Catching Fire, Insurgent, City of Ashes 120 kids last time – let’s top it Essential Questions: When should an individual take a stand against what he/she believes to be an injustice? What are the most effective ways to do this?
