LEAVE.... Casual Leave 8 days in a Calendar year 4 days as Special Casual Leave – for differently abled employees Sundays & holidays will not be counted Special Casual Leave leave sanctioned on special occasions like Participating in national level sports events, Union/association activities to the office bears of recognized service unions/associations Undergoing vasectomy/ tubectomy operation Natural calamity Election to exercise their franchise- if name is in another constituency

Earned Leave Credit of EL will be afforded in advance at a uniform rate of 15 days on the 1 st January & 1 st July every year Earned leave can be availed up to 180 days at a time EL can be accumulated up to 300 days Encashment has been allowed along with LTC Half Pay Leave Half Pay Leave is credited in advance at the rate of 10 days on the 1 st January & 1 st July of every year Half Pay Leave can be availed either with or without medical certificate LEAVE....

Commuted Leave Commuted Leave, not exceeding half the number of days of HPL due. It can be taken on production of medical certificate Child Care Leave Women employees having minor children are eligible Maximum 730 days during their entire service LEAVE….

Maternity Leave Admissible to married/unmarried female employees during Pregnancy & Adoption 180 days Admissible only to employees with less than two surviving children Paternity Leave Male Government servant with less than 2 surviving children are eligible 15 days during wife’s confinement LEAVE….

Death of employee in harness Family of employee who dies in harness will be eligible Immediate monetary relief equal to two month’s Basic pay of the deceased employee Subject to a maximum of Rs.8,000/- Will be recovered from the gratuity payable. No formal application from the bereaved family is necessary

Group Insurance Scheme Compulsory to all the Central Government employees Twin benefits- Insurance coverage and Savings 30% -- Insurance Fund 70% Savings Fund Employees are enrolled as members of the Scheme only from 1 st January of every year Subscription for MTS Group C employees –Rs.30/-

Children’s Education Allowance Reimbursement of tuition & other eligible fees for a maximum of 2 children Applicable for education of school going children only Annual ceiling for reimbursement - Rs.15,000/- per child Reimbursement will be at double the normal rates for children with disabilities

Festival Advance Rs.4500 Non –Gazetted employees whose grade pay does not exceed Rs.4,800 are eligible Admissible only once in a financial year Earlier advance, if any, should have been recovered in full Recovery in not more than 10 monthly installments

LTC Leave Travel Concession Employee with 1 year of continuous service on the date of journey is eligible Journey to be performed by him/her and/or his/her family Government servants with spouses working in Indian Railways/Nation airlines are not eligible LTC to Hometown Home town, once declared in the service book is treated as final Head of the Department may authorize a change, only once during entire service Admissible once in a block of two calendar years

LTC…. LTC to any place in India This concession is admissible in lieu of one of the two journeys to Home town in a block of four years. Available for travel to any place in India including employee’s Hometown. Up to 90% of the fare can be taken as advance Railway ticket numbers, PNR No., etc., to be furnished within 10 days of drawal of the advance claim should be submitted within 1 month from the date of return journey

Special provisions orthopedically handicapped children of a Government servant with Pay not exceeding Rs.11,300 pm admissible only for two handicapped children Amount permissible – Rs.100 p.m. in “A” class cities – Rs.80 p.m. at other places Hostel subsidy for handicapped or mentally retarded children – Rs.100 pm in “A” class cities – Rs.80 pm in “B” class cities

Productivity-Linked Bonus Bonus granted equivalent to emoluments for certain number of days Once in a financial year Admissible to all non-Gazetted employees. Restricted to a maximum of Rs.3,500 p.m.

Assistance from Circle Welfare Fund Death due to accident while on duty Rs.10,000 from circle Welfare fund Assistance in case of prolonged illness/major surgical operations of Rs.10000/ Scholarship for the children for technical courses now extended upto the level of post- graduation Financial assistance for excursion trip, through recreation club is available upto 700 k.m
