Modbus: Max. 16 addresses BACnet: Max. 8 addresses Data exchange and communication between the chiller and the BMS is realized by CLICK the principle of “QUESTION” and “ANSWER”. The BMS sends out a question signal concerning a certain parameter, and the chiller replies with the proper answer. CLICK Among the exchanged information, we can find 2 kinds of parameters. READ ONLY parameters, such as temperatures, pressures, status, alarms. Then we also have the WRITABLE or CHANGEABLE parameters. These are for instance altering of the setpoints, changing of the operation mode for small chillers, start/stop circuits, … All together, with a 2 circuit large chiller, you can access up to more than 130 parameters.
