SUMMARY BETWEEN 1986-2002 UNFAVOURABLE TENDENCY IN TOBACCO USE Having already tried smoking (increase among 13-14 yr girls) Weekly smokers (increase among 15-16 yr old boys and girls of the two age groups) Daily smoking (increase in both genders and age groups except for 15-16 yr old boys Number of cigarettes smoked weekly (increase in both genders and age groups) ALCOHOL USE Rate of pupils who drink beer and wine regularly increased among boys and girls Rate of pupils who have never been drunk decreased Rate of pupils who have been drunk once or more increased
