Lipoproteins Conjugated proteins in which at least one of the components is a lipid. Classified according to their densities and chemical qualities. Are the principal means by which lipids are transported in the blood.

HDL and LDL HDL Stand for high-density lipoproteins Takes cholesterol out of the blood Also known as “good cholesterol” Healthy (H) LDL Stands for low-density lipoproteins The primary form found in the blood Also known as “bad cholesterol” Lousy (L)
